Bobcats win second straight, 77-66 over Mt. Aloysius

GREENSBURG, PA- David Palmer (Pittsburgh, PA/Westinghouse) scored a game high 21 points and grabbed 18 rebounds for his ninth double-double of the season as Pitt-Greensburg won its second game in a row 77-66 over Mt. Aloysius College Wednesday night.

Pitt-Greensburg’s defense came up big holding a potent Mt. Aloysius offensive attack 28 points under their season average.  The Mounties came into tonight’s contest averaging 94 points per game and the Bobcats held them to just 66 points, forcing 23 turnovers while holding them to just 31% from the field.

Seniors Cameron Hubbard (Wellsboro, PA/Wellsboro) and Josh Kucenic (Lansdale, PA/North Penn) were the only other two Bobcats to score in double figures.  Hubbard finished the contest with 18 points while Kucenic chipped in with 14.  David Patcher (Pittsburgh, PA/Seton La-Salle) finished with nine points and six rebounds.

Palmer also added five blocks to his already impressive 21 points and 18 rebounds.

Demetrius Davis paced the Mounties with 16 points while Marcus Stewart netted 11 points.

Pitt-Greensburg will look to improve their winning streak to three games, when they host D’Youville College Saturday afternoon in Chambers Hall.  Game time is set for 5:00 PM.
