Softball leads 4-1 in suspended game at Franciscan

Steubenville, OH- The University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg softball team leads Franciscan University 4-1 in the sixth inning before the game was called due to a winter storm that hit the Steubenville area.  No makeup date has been released at this time.

Through five innings of work, starting pitcher Nicole Linsenbigler (Jeannette, PA/Jeannette) allowed one unearned run on just four hits while striking out five and walking three.

Rachael Peebles (Hermine, PA/Yough) was 2-3 with a double and an RBI.  Andrea Martin (Washington, PA/McGuffey) was 1-1 with a two RBI double before play was suspended.

Due to AMCC rules game one will be picked up where it left off and completed before starting game two.

Pitt-Greensburg will host AMCC rival Pitt-Bradford on Saturday, April 2nd at 1:00 PM.
