Winter Haven, FL- The University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg’s baseball team split a pair of games, losing game one 9-8 in eight innings and bouncing back to take the nightcap 4-3 in 10 innings with Pennsylvania native Juniata College Thursday afternoon.
In the opener UPG jumped out to an 8-0 lead through 5.5 innings of play. Pitt-Greensburg starter, Mike Pearson (Beaver Falls, PA/Blackhawk) carried a no hitter into the sixth inning before giving up one run on two hits in the bottom of the sixth.
