Women's soccer falls 5-0 in final game of season

Steubenville, OH- The University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg women’s soccer team dropped a 5-0 decision to Franciscan University in their final contest of the season, Tuesday afternoon.

Olivia Valenti (Pittsburgh, PA/Woodland Hills) made nine saves on the afternoon but faced 23 shots as UPG was out chanced 23-8 over the course of the game.

Women's soccer falls to Pitt-Bradford 4-0

GREENSBURG, PA- The University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg’s women’s soccer team fell 4-0 Saturday afternoon to AMCC rival Pitt-Bradford.  With the win Pitt-Bradford improves to an impressive 13-2-1 on the season.

Pitt-Greensburg was outshot heavily on the afternoon, 19-1 but goal keeper Olivia Valenti (Pittsburgh, PA/Woodland Hills) made seven tough saves to keep the contest close throughout.

La Roche upends UPG 3-0

GREENSBURG, PA- The University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg women’s soccer team fell 3-0 to La Roche College Wednesday evening at Greensburg-Salem’s Offutt Field.  UPG falls to 0-12-2 on the season while the Redhawks improve to 5-4-1.

Olivia Valenti (Pittsburgh, PA/Woodland Hills) made seven saves on the night as the Lady Bobcats were outshot 20-2.

La Roche broke the scoring in the 7th minute when Shelby Novak found a loose ball in the UPG box and found the back of the net for her fifth goal of the season.

Men's and Women's Soccer announce changes in schedule

GREENSBURG, PA- The University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg’s men’s and women’s soccer teams have both changed times and locations for their contests scheduled against La Roche College.

The women’s game scheduled for 4:00 PM on Tuesday, October 18th has been rescheduled for Wednesday evening at 6:00 PM.  The Lady Bobcats will face off against La Roche at Offutt Field located in downtown Greensburg.

Kling nets first career goal in 1-1 tie

Cresson, PA- The University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg’s women’s soccer team battle Mt. Aloysius College to a 1-1 tie Tuesday afternoon.  With the tie the Lady Bobcats overall record goes to 0-10-2 and 0-3-2 in the AMCC.

After a scoreless first half Sara Bibby broke the scoring in the 64th minute for Mt. Aloysius, who outshot UPG 13-8 on the afternoon.

Henry nets two goals but UPG falls to D'Youville 3-2

GREENSBURG, PA- Alexa Henry (Belle Vernon, PA/Belle Vernon) netted her third and fourth goals of the season but Pitt-Greensburg (0-10-1, 1-3-1) couldn’t overcome three first half goals eventually falling to D’Youville College 3-2 Saturday afternoon.

Saturday's soccer double header relocated to Hempfield High School

GREENSBURG, PA- Saturday’s soccer double header versus D’Youville College has been moved to Hempfield High School’s Spartan Stadium because inclement weather has made Ridilla Field unplayable for the second consecutive weekend.

Game times for Saturday’s contests will remain the same with the guys kicking things off at 1:00 PM followed by the women at 3:00 PM.

Spartan Stadium is located at 4347 State Route 36, Greensburg, PA  15601.

Saturday's men's and women's soccer games moved to Offutt Field

GREENSBURG, PA- Saturday's men's and women's soccer double header against Penn State Behrend site location as been moved to Offutt Field, in downtown Greensburg.

The times of both contests have been changed as well, the men will kick things off at 5:30 PM, followed by the women at 7:30 PM.

Offutt Field is located on 302 South Urania Avenue, Greensburg, PA 15601.

Biddle and Valenti lead Bobcats to 1-1 tie with defending AMCC champs

GREENSBURG, PA- Jenna Biddle (Webster, PA/Belle Vernon) scored her first goal of the season and Olivia Valenti (Pittsburgh, PA/Woodland Hills) made 10 saves as the Lady Bobcats (0-8-1, 0-1-1) battled defending AMCC champions Penn State Altoona (5-3-2, 1-0-1) to a 1-1 tie, Tuesday afternoon at Ridilla Field.
