The Office of Financial Aid assists students and their families with the process of applying for and receiving financial aid.
Most financial aid at Pitt-Greensburg is based on need. Awards can be "packages"—combinations of scholarships, grants, loans, and part-time employment. The amount and type of aid are dependent upon the student's computed need and academic performance.
In order to be eligible for financial aid, a student must demonstrate financial need according to the following formula: student cost of attendance (COA) minus expected family contribution (EFC)= financial need. The COA is determined by the Financial Aid Office and includes tuition, fees, books and supplies, room and board, transportation, and personal expenses such as laundry and entertainment. The EFC is calculated according to a federal formula.
