Ceremony Regalia

Start the celebration on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 by attending Grad Central-Greensburg!

Enjoy a Mardi Gras atmosphere, complete with beads, carnival masks, music, and cake. Purchase your regalia that day and be entered into drawings for free regalia, a free diploma frame, a free class ring, a free graduation t-shirt, and even tickets to the Family Appreciation Dinner!

Cap and Gown

All graduates planning to march in the ceremony are required to wear caps and gowns (regalia). The robe color is navy blue.  Beginning on February 28, students can visit the Campus Store during regular business hours to purchase their cap and gown. The Campus Store is able to ship regalia for graduates that are no longer on campus.  The shipping fee is $8. Please call (724) 836-9928 to place a phone order.

Bachelor (Cap, Gown, and Tassel)

$33.00 (includes tax)
Tassel Only $6.00 (includes tax)

The tassel should be worn on the RIGHT side of the cap and remain on that side throughout the entire ceremony. Nothing should be worn on the regalia such as corsages, pins, etc.  We advise women not to wear high heels or expensive shoes if the ceremony is outdoors. Men should wear a dress shirt and necktie with their gowns.

Honor Cords

Honor cords for cum laude, magna cum laude, and summa cum laude will be distributed during the graduation ceremony. You received a letter from Academic Affairs in January regarding your honors. Please be sure to contact them if you have any questions or if the honors are not what you expected; otherwise, your honors may not be listed correctly in the program or announced at the ceremony.

Honor cords will be placed around the recipient's necks during the ceremony. We will practice this at rehearsal. Be sure to pay attention at rehearsal, as this will be the last chance to verify that you are receiving the correct honors.

Honor Societies

If you are a member of an academic honor society, contact the faculty or staff advisor of that honor society for information regarding honor medallions.
