Registration open for 2nd Annual Pitt-Greensburg 5K Run/Fun Walk

Registrations are now being accepted for the 2nd annual Pitt-Greensburg 5K Run/Fun Walk to be held Saturday, October 13. Open to the public, this event is part of Pitt-Greensburg’s annual Blue & Gold Weeknd: Homecoming 2012.

Register on-line at www.greensburg.pitt.edu/5K by September 25 and pay only $20 (adults) and $10 (children ages 7-12). After September 25, registration is $25 (adults) and $15 (children ages 7-12).

This event offers the opportunity for both serious runners and “just-for-fun” walkers to enjoy Pitt-Greensburg’s beautiful campus—especially during the height of the fall foliage season. Prizes will be awarded to the top runners. A Children’s 100-Meter Sprint will also be held, with children six years old and younger participating at no cost; they must register, though. Day-of-the-race Registration is at 6:30 a.m. followed by the race start at 8 a.m.

Proceeds from this event benefit the Alpha Alpha Delta Chapter of Sigma Tau Delta English Honor Society, the Pitt-Greensburg Alumni Association, and the President’s Scholarship Fund.
