Pitt-Greensburg to host blood drive

The University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg will host a blood drive with Vitalant on Jan. 31. The drive opens at 11:30 a.m. and runs through 5 p.m. in the Smith Hall Lounge (150 Finoli Drive, Greensburg, PA 15601). The drive is open to the public as long as the Westmoreland County community COVID rating stays between the low and medium ranges. Appointments are recommended, but walk-ins will be accepted.

Vitalant is offering blood donors the chance to win one of 24 $500 pre-paid gift cards when blood, platelets, or plasma is donated between Jan. 6 and Feb. 10. Entry is automatic into this national drawing. Winners will be notified by Vitalant. Donors must have an online donor account and be opted into the donor recognition program to qualify for this drawing. Please see details at vitalant.org/24giveaway.
