Professor Silvina Orsatti teaches elementary language and foreign language pedagogy. Her research interests include digital storytelling and game-based learning in the foreign language classroom. She is a doctoral candidate for the EdD in Language, Literacy and Culture from the University of Pittsburgh. In the Spanish program, she teaches elementary Spanish. In the Education program, she teaches Spanish Methods and coordinates the Pedagogy Lab with K-12 Spanish teachers from local schools. Professor Orsatti received the PSMLA Educator of the Year Award in 2014. She is the faculty contact for students interested in becoming Spanish teachers as well as those interested in technology tools, apps, and games for language learning.
