Dr. William H. Campbell teaches a broad variety of courses in European and Western history as well as in Religious Studies, such as Nineteenth-Century Europe, Twentieth-Century Europe, England since 1689, Islamic Civilization, Origins of Christianity, and Religions of the West. He earned his Ph.D. in Medieval History from the University of St Andrews in Scotland and the post-doctoral Licentiate in Medieval Studies degree from the Pontifical Institute of Medieval Studies in Toronto, Canada, but he got his start with a BA in History from Pitt. He has published two historical books on the clergy of English cathedrals.​
