Welcome to the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg
This is an exciting time to be part of the Pitt-Greensburg community.
Whether it is celebrating the University of Pittsburgh’s accomplishments throughout its 225 years of building better lives or celebrating our own campus’ 50 years of investing in the future—you are participating in and adding to the long history of success fostered by the University and its regional campuses.
As a student at Pitt-Greensburg, you have the opportunity to take advantage of the depth and breadth of resources that a large university offers while receiving the personalized academic attention that is a hallmark of this campus and its students’ achievements.
I hope that, during your time here, you will take advantage of the opportunities this campus provides through the variety of student activities, clubs, and honor societies that shape our campus’ vibrant student life. Be sure to find ways to balance your work in the classroom by frequenting our state-of-the-art fitness center, participating in or attending our athletic events hosted by our NCAA Division III teams, or attending the variety of cultural events planned this year—and don’t forget to take time to enjoy our beautiful campus throughout the four seasons!
Be sure to discover what our campus facilities provide, including our newest building, the Frank A. Cassell Hall. Cassell Hall is our campus’ first sustainable building with an LEED certification. It houses our IT and computer center along with much-needed faculty offices and classrooms, as well as some select places for study and relaxation. A new multimedia lab in Millstein Library provides students, faculty, and staff with state-of-the-art digital equipment to use to further enhance the Pitt-Greensburg educational experience.
Finally, I invite the greater Greensburg community, our partners, parents, friends, donors, and most of all, our alumni, to visit our campus throughout the coming year to enjoy—frequently at no cost—the many cultural and educational events that are open to the public. These are always posted on this web site so be sure to check in regularly so you do not miss any of the excitement. We hope your experience will be further evidence of the great things that are happening here on campus.
Hail to Pitt!
