Dear Pitt-Greensburg campus community, alumni, and friends:
The COVID-19 pandemic produced a sudden disruption of life and unpredictable hardships. This is a tough time for many, and the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg is dealing with the challenges created by COVID-19. In times of crisis, our community comes together. Right now, Pitt-Greensburg students need your support more than ever.
Many current and prospective Pitt-Greensburg students have lost their means of paying for college due to layoffs and business closures. Some have needed assistance with emergency expenses to return home, some have needed technological assistance and equipment as campus life moved online, and others still are unable to work and will look to scholarships to cover the gap. The funds below will benefit our students immediately and help address some of their biggest challenges
- PGAA Student Emergency Fund helps cover emergency student needs from housing and food insecurity to travel expenses to other financial challenges. The student requests for assistance from this fund have ballooned due to challenges faced from the pandemic.
- The Technology for the Future Fund helps cover the cost of equipment and the technology to allow all of our students, regardless of their home resources, to make the full transition to online learning. All donations to this fund are doubled by the Department of Education.
- The Investment in the Future Student Scholarship Fund at Pitt-Greensburg allows current year contributions to be directly applied to scholarship needs. Donations to this fund allow students with the greatest need to receive immediate support.
