What it means to be a graduate of our program

There were over forty-five graduates of the Criminal Justice program over the past two academic years. Following graduation, our recent alumni have pursued the following paths:

Law Enforcement
Many graduates have entered careers in law enforcement on the local, state, and federal levels. Some of our alumni are currently working for the Pennsylvania State Police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Others have successful careers in the private security industry.
 

Corrections
Our graduates have gone on to work in correctional facilities. Others are involved in community-based corrections, working as probation officers

Work with Juveniles
Alumni have obtained positions that involve work with juveniles. These include positions at residential facilities for juveniles as well as careers in juvenile probation. Others have worked for various Children’s Bureaus.

Graduate School
Pitt-Greensburg graduates have also furthered their education by obtaining Masters and Doctoral degrees. Some of these students prepare for administrative positions in social service agencies. Others pursue careers in academia.
 

Legal Field
Graduates of our Criminal Justice program have attended law school to obtain a professional degree and have become lawyers. Others have pursued paralegal work.
