We offer two choices to help you acclimate and ensure your success as a part of our community. Here are the two orientation options available for new transfer students:
The New Student Information Fair is offered on Thursday, August 23, 2018 from 10:30am -- 2:00pm. For your convenience, we have scheduled this program to occur during Check-In Day for our new students. We invite you to come and learn more about the our campus and the services we provide, get your ID photo taken, pick up your parking permit (be sure to fill out the online registration form first!), visit the Campus Store, talk with faculty and staff in an open-house format, turn in your final transcripts, and get the answers to your questions. A schedule of the day’s events can be found here. You will receive a folder full of information about various campus resources and will also meet fellow students! You can even take a tour if you want to get familiar with campus locations, and campus offices will be open until 5pm that day to assist you with financial or other concerns. Family members and guests are welcome to attend with you. Lunch is included in the $15 per person fee for the program.
The second option is Welcome Week! This is a 4-day long program that includes the New Student Information Fair on August 23rd, plus activities and events on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday of that week. You can view the general schedule of Welcome Week here. Welcome Week is designed to give you an opportunity to get to know your fellow students as well as get involved on campus from the very beginning! In addition, resident students who choose this option will be able to move into their residence hall rooms on Thursday, August 23rd instead of waiting until Sunday, August 26th. If you choose this option, there would be a $90 fee added to your tuition bill which helps pay for all of the programs you will be attending.
We encourage you to pick one of these two options to start off your Pitt-Greensburg career!
If you choose just to attend the New Student Information Fair, please fill out the online registration form and submit it with your payment here. After receiving your registration form and payment, we will send you a confirmation email.
If you choose to attend the entire Welcome Week program, please send an email to leigh7@pitt.edu and we will add the fee to your bill and email you more information.
