Transportation Information

Local Bus Service

Westmoreland County Transit offers bus service from the Pitt-Greensburg campus Monday - Friday. Students can ride the bus from campus to local shopping attractions for $1.75 (one way). Students can also connect to buses traveling to Pittsburgh at the Greensburg Transit Center. The bus schedule can be found online or in 219 Chambers Hall. For students interested in traveling to local shopping attractions, a user-friendly schedule is available online.

Taxi Service

The Veteran’s Cab provides service is available Monday through Saturday from 6 am - 9 pm. Phone: 724-537-7708.

Local Airports

Pittsburgh International Airport is the major air transportation service provider in the area, with daily flights to 37 destinations. Also, the Arnold Palmer Regional Airport is located just 10 miles from the campus and offers flights to various destinations. Students must arrange their own transportation to the airport. Super Shuttle is available for transportation to the Pittsburgh International Airport.


Amtrak train service is located less than three miles from the campus. Students may purchase tickets and see destinations on the Amtrak website. Students must arrange their own transportation to the train station.

Buses Home Program

The Buses Home for the Holidays program is designed to give students a safe, comfortable alternative ride home for the three major recesses: Thanksgiving, winter, and spring. Pitt-Greensburg students may purchase bus tickets in 219 Chambers Hall. Transportation to the Oakland campus is also provided free of charge. Additional information regarding the Buses Home for the Holiday program will be available before each recess.
