Transportation Information

Local Bus Service

Westmoreland County Transit offers a bus service from the Pitt-Greensburg campus Monday through Friday. Students can ride the bus from campus to local shopping attractions for free. Pitt-Greensburg students must go to the Information Desk in Chambers Hall to pick up their free tickets for the bus. Tickets must be picked up during regular office hours, 9 AM-5 PM, Monday through Friday. Taxi Service

The Veteran’s Cab taxi service is available Monday through Saturday from 6 am - 9 pm. Phone: 724-537-7708. CCC&P Transportation taxi service is also available. Phone: 724 925-1160.

Lyft/Uber

Greensburg, PA is in the Uber / Lyft market. Students will need to arrange their own transportation through their Lyft or Uber app (on a mobile device).

Local Airports

Pittsburgh International Airport is the major air transportation service provider in the area, with daily flights to 37 destinations. Also, the Arnold Palmer Regional Airport is located just 10 miles from the campus and offers flights to various destinations. Students must arrange their own transportation to the airport. Super Shuttle is available for transportation to the Pittsburgh International Airport.

Amtrak

Amtrak train service is located less than three miles from the campus. Students may purchase tickets and see destinations on the Amtrak website. Students must arrange their own transportation to the train station.

Buses Home Program

The Buses Home for the Holidays program is designed to give students a safe, comfortable alternative ride home for the three major recesses: Thanksgiving, winter, and spring. Additional information regarding the Buses Home for the Holiday program can be found here:

Parking Permit Information

All students are permitted to have a vehicle on campus. Parking permits are required and can be purchased for $90.00 for full-time students or $48.00 for part-time students beginning in mid-August. To register for a parking pass, you will receive an email when online registration and payment is available for obtaining your parking permit. This will be emailed to your Pitt account in mid-August.
