COVID-19 Vaccine Clinics scheduled at Pitt-Greensburg

Nurse wearing maskThe University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg, in collaboration with Mainline Pharmacy, will offer a series of COVID-19 vaccine clinics during the month of November. These clinics are free and open to the public, but registration is requested at [link now closed]. Each clinic will run from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. in Chambers Hall Gymnasium at Pitt-Greensburg (150 Finoli Drive, Greensburg, PA 15601). The Moderna Vaccine will be administered as either a booster or third dose at each clinic on Tuesdays in November: November 2, November 9, November 16, November 23, and November 30. Another clinic has been added for December 7. For more specific information, please visit [link no longer available].

Volunteers needed to staff clinics:

Volunteers are also needed to help staff these four clinics. We estimate about 300 people to be on campus during these clinics.  Shifts are set up for two-hour time slots. If the interest from the community is high, we will open up volunteer opportunities for the additional clinic dates. Due to the limited number of slots available and the unknown response from the community, this invitation is being issued to Pitt-Greensburg faculty and staff. However, anyone who is interested in helping or in need of volunteer hours is encouraged to sign up.

Volunteer assignments will be given upon arrival.  Volunteers are asked to wear their name badges and are currently needed for:

8:50 am – 11:00 am (includes set-up)
11:00 am – 12:15 pm (includes clean up)

Pitt-Greensburg employees should coordinate with their immediate supervisor and/or department administrator to ensure that the needs of the University remain met. Once obtaining approval from their supervisor, staff members who volunteer their time should classify these hours as “approved absence” hour type on their time card and add a comment on their timecards in Pitt Worx to read: “VOL COVID-19.”
