As part of its Blue & Gold Week: Homecoming 2017 activities, the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg will host its second annual UV Splash—A Pitt-Greensburg Night Color Run on Friday, October 20, at 7 p.m. This family-friendly fun run/walk is open to the greater southwestern Pennsylvania community.
Participants will be splashed with glow-in-the-dark color at multiple stations throughout the course at the Hempfield Township campus. White attire will best show off the colorful glow-in-the-dark effects. Day-of-event registration opens at 5:30 p.m. with the run/walk beginning at 7 p.m. Preceding the Color Run, UV Splash accessories will be available for purchase, and contests and giveaways will be held. A food truck, DJ, as well as sponsor and event booths will add to the festivities.
The first 400 registrants will receive a UV Splash t-shirt as part of their Dasher Kits, which also will contain a temporary tattoo and race number with pins. Early bird registration runs through October 11 and provides a $10 discount. Students register for $20 and adults for $40. Children under five years old may participate at no additional cost when accompanied by an adult registered for the event. Special Family pricing is also available.
