Ryan deM. Jennings, Ph.D., is a biologist who has an academic interest in microbial ecology. With undergraduate and graduate collaborators, he engages with scientific research in
Yellowstone National Park geothermal microbial communities, Appalachian acid mine drainage sites, and the oral/dental microbiome. These microbial ecology research projects employ tools of genomic analysis and environmental science. Beyond his own scholarly research, Dr. Jennings is interested in science and the benefits science brings to society. In and beyond academia, he advocates for people with disabilities through public service.
