Elizabeth M Marciniak, PhD

Liz Marie Marciniak earned her Ph.D. from the University of Maryland, the top-ranked program in the nation. As a generalist in the field, Dr. Marciniak has published in the fields of police, courts, and corrections, as well as juvenile justice. She has published in a variety of peer-reviewed publications. Her latest publication is her book, Sentencing and Modern Reform (2016) Carolina Academic Press. As a student-centered professor, she has mentored students in research skills in her publications. Dr. Marciniak has also worked in the field of juvenile justice. Dr. Marciniak enjoys teaching her upper level classes, including Victimology, Sentencing and Modern Reform, Women and Crime, and Delinquency and Juvenile Justice, as well as her core classes, including Crime, Law, and Public Policy, History and Philosophy of Law Enforcement, Correctional Philosophy: Theory and Practice, and Research Methods.
