Dr. Elizabeth Marciniak earned her Ph.D from the University of Maryland, which is the top-ranked Criminal Justice program in the nation.  Her current research interests include sentencing reform and police officer job satisfaction.  She has published numerous peer-reviewed articles on various topics including program evaluations of Day Reporting Centers, adolescent attitudes toward rape, and programs within residential treatment facilities.  She teaches a variety of courses, many which are linked to her research interests including Correctional Philosophy:  Theory and Practice, History and Philosophy of Law Enforcement, Social Science Research Methods, Victimology, and Women and Crime, and Critical Issues in Contemporary Corrections.
