Linda Smales, MSN, RN

Linda Smales, MSN, RN is a full time nurse instructor at the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg School of Nursing. Linda joined our program in 2018 and is the primary instructor for Foundations I & II and the Skills Laboratory for the sophomores. She is very passionate with helping students build a solid foundation of basic nursing skills, so they will have the confidence to keep building on it for years to come.  Linda has earned her Master’s degree in nursing administration from Waynesburg University and is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) in health executive leadership at the University of Pittsburgh. She has worked as a medical surgical bedside nurse, travel nurse, medical surgical step down clinician, head & neck oncology clinician, assistant manager, and is currently a casual Administrator on Duty at UPMC East. Linda is a member of the American Association of Colleges of Nursing and American Nurses Association and is an active volunteer for her local community and school district.
