Instructions for Submitting an Abstract

Students are invited to submit abstracts for oral or poster presentations. Each submission must include at least one student registration.  If there are multiple authors, you can register the entire author group when submitting the abstract.

Please do not register co-authors who are not planning on attending, as this will affect the amount of food we are preparing.

To Register/Submit

Please fill out the form and select “student” as your affiliation. This will open the option to submit an abstract.  Once you select "yes," an additional portion of the form will allow you to submit your author, abstract, and faculty sponsor information.

We ask that faculty and attendees not presenting also register online by April 10, 2023. This will allow us to get an accurate count of the number of people attending so that we can prepare accordingly.

Abstracts are due by April 5, 2023. We will reply to each submission during the week of April 10th.

Oral Presentations

Each oral presentation will be 15 minutes in total, including a 10-minute presentation and 5 minutes for Q&A. Participants will be able to use PowerPoint and will have access to the Internet. Participants should bring their PowerPoint presentations loaded onto USB drives, and should plan to come at least 15 minutes in advance of the oral presentation session to load the PowerPoint onto the computer.

Poster Presentations

Poster presentations will take place during 1-hour long designated sessions. Poster presentations will be displayed on standard, 36" x 48" poster presentation boards. Poster presenters should plan to come 15 minutes in advance of their assigned poster session to set up their posters.
