Pitt-Greensburg Admissions will be waiving all application fees for students who attend an official campus visit AFTER September 1, 2014.  An official campus visit is considered a weekend event sponsered by Pitt-Greensburg Admissions or a weekday visit with a tour and/or an appointment with an admissions counselor. 

If you have visited Pitt-Greensburg after September 1, 2014 and are applying online and are asked to pay your application fee, please select "I'll mail a check" and DO NOT mail us a check.

Overnight Visit

This program is specifically targeted to high school juniors and seniors.  Our Overnight Visit program gives students the opportunity to stay in our residence halls, attend a class session and enjoy campus activities.  Presentations from the Office of Admissions and Office of Housing and Residence Life are available as well as a student-led walking tour on campus.  This program begins on Sunday afternoon and ends on Monday afternoon.   A $45 application fee waiver to Pitt-Greensburg is offered to students who have not yet applied. Space is limited for this program.  To register, please call 724-836-9880.

Individual overnight visits can be arranged.  A two week notice is requested.

Individual Campus Visits

Come visit us year round!

  • Campus tours are offered daily at 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday (except for holidays and recess periods) and are guided by a current student
  • Students and their families are invited to meet individually with an Admissions Counselor before or after the tour to discuss the admissions process, academic programs, campus features, and have any questions answered.
  • Please allow about two hours for your visit
  • Campus visit excuses are available upon request

Our Saturday Open House, is a large group event that welcomes prospective students and their families to our campus.  The day consists of an admissions presentation with a question and answer session and a walking tour of campus. Discovery Day

Our Discovery Day event provides an in-depth look at the University of Pittsburgh-Greensburg including admissions, financial aid, housing and residence life.  The program includes a meeting with a professor in the academic division of your choice, financial aid, campus tours, and lunch in our dining hall.  The program runs from about 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.  A $45 application fee waiver to Pitt-Greensburg is offered to students who have not yet applied. Transfer Decision Day

In this program, transfer students can take part in an accelerated application process.  Applications will be reviewed that day.  After paying the tuition deposit, admitted students schedule their courses for the upcoming semester.  This program is available for transfer students only. A $45 application fee waiver to Pitt-Greensburg is offered for students who attend AND bring all official transcripts and test scores needed for application review. These visits consist of an information session with an admissions counselor and a campus tour led by a current student.  The program begins at 5:00 p.m. and lasts approximately two hours.  Individual appointments are offered to transfer students every half hour from 5:00-7:00 p.m.  To register, please call 724-836-9880.

Only students who have been admitted to the university are invited to Admitted Student Day.  At our information fair, you will be able to speak with representatives from housing, financial aid, academic advising, athletics and safety and security.  Faculty presentations are also available.  You will have the opportunity to pay the tuition deposit.  Deposited students can then register in advance for S.O.A.R. (summer orientation) and will get advances housing application access.  Lunch and campus tours will be provided.  The program begins in the morning and last approximately three hours.
