Pitt-Greensburg ROTC commissions four new officers
The University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg Army ROTC commissioned four new officers in a ceremony held on campus August 16. The three men and one woman, each commissioned as a second lieutenant (2nd Lt.), constitute the largest ROTC class commissioned from the Pitt-Greensburg campus. Read more >

Pitt-Greensburg to host PA Three Region Math and Science Partnership session
Sixty-six teachers from Laurel Highlands, Albert Gallatin, California, Belle Vernon, Turkeyfoot, and Uniontown school districts will gather for professional development sessions in mathematics and science at the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg on August 20 and August 21 as part of their continuing participation in the Pennsylvania Three Region Math and Science Partnership Program.

Derry middle school students participate in Summer Science and Math Experience
Nine middle school students from Derry Area School District participated in the Summer Science and Math Experience at Pitt-Greensburg. The program is designed to encourage students to pursue STEM careers by providing opportunities for inquiry-based learning. Read more >
Elliott Scholar Award presented to Pitt-Greensburg student
Sophomore Joseph Daugherty is the recipient of the Elliott Scholar Award, which is the result of Elliott Company's Front-Nine Sponsorship of the 2009 Pitt-Greensburg Golf Outing. Read more >

September 7- October 14- "I Thought I Could Fly" Exhibit
The exhibit by acclaimed photographer Charlee Brodsky, will be displayed at the Millstein Library. This is a traveling exhibit organized by the American Jewish Museum (AJM) that pairs photographs with personal narratives by individuals whose lives are affected in some way by mental illness. A 13-minute film is part of the presentation. Brodsky is a documentary photographer, author and professor of photography at Carnegie Mellon University.
September 7- Student Activities Fair
The annual Student Activities Fair is held from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. This event allows Pitt-Greensburg students to discover what the campus has to offer in terms of volunteer opportunities, extracurricular activities, and academic-related groups.
September 25- Saturday Open House
Our Saturday Open House Program is a large group event that welcomes prospective students and their families to our campus. The day consists of an admissions presentation, a walking tour of campus and a question and answer session with current students. The program runs approximately from 9:30 a.m. until noon. A $45 application fee waiver to Pitt-Greensburg is offered to students that attend. Registration is required. Read more >
October 7- Graduate and Professional School Fair
10 a.m.- 1p.m. in Chambers Hall. Free and open to the Public. Over 35 schools and programs are expected. Read more >
