Welcome to the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg!

On behalf of the Student Services staff, we are excited that you will be joining our dynamic student body. A variety of programs and events are in place to help you become acquainted with Pitt-Greensburg and prepare you for your first year of college.

Take advantage of these opportunities to meet other students, faculty, and staff. We look forward to seeing you at the following events:

Summer Orientation & Academic Registration (S.O.A.R.)

This is a two-day mandatory program for full-time first year students at Pitt-Greensburg. Meet new friends, learn about the campus, activities, financial aid, and housing. Also, take your math placement exam and register for classes.

Enjoy a fun overnight stay in College Hall! Resident students must stay overnight and commuter students are strongly encouraged to do so.

Welcome Week

Your first week on campus will be full of fun activities!

Opportunities include buying books, picking up your parking pass, taking a day trip with friends, and enjoying a BBQ complete with games, music, and fireworks.

Convocation

First-Year Student Convocation is a formal welcome into the University community. This event is held in the afternoon/evening on the Thursday of move-in day; dress is casual, and your family will be invited.

First Year Experience and Freshman Seminar

These programs are designed to help new Pitt-Greensburg students make a successful academic and social transition from high school to college.
