Become a Biologist. Develop a fundamental understanding of the principles that govern life on Earth. Pursue graduate and career paths in health, environmental, and research fields.

Our faculty have various interests across multiple life science disciplines – from cells and microbes to biochemistry, health, and the environment. You can tailor the upper-level courses you choose based on what will align with your career goals. At Pitt-Greensburg, you will work with faculty that are Ph.D. trained scientists to engage with hands-on practical research by:

  1. developing a hypothesis
  2. collecting data
  3. forming conclusions
  4. presenting your findings

Our graduates have obtained Master’s and Doctorate degrees in biology-focused studies. They have gone onto careers in such fields as:

SLICE Scholarship Program

Pitt-Greensburg SLC Scholarship Program logoPitt-Greensburg has been awarded a grant by the National Science Foundation (NSF) to increase the retention and graduation rates of students in the natural sciences. Through the STEM Learning Interdisciplinary Community Expansion (SLICE) program, scholarships of up to $10,000 per year for a period of up to four years are available to eligible academically talented students.
