A message from the President
Late last night, a driver crashed a vehicle on Mt. Pleasant Road and fled into the nearby woods. The individual was believed to be armed.
Law enforcement responded immediately, and the suspect was safely apprehended and is now in custody.
The incident was not connected to Pitt–Greensburg; the individual was simply traveling on the roadway adjacent to campus.
We extend our appreciation to the University community for exercising appropriate precautions and to law enforcement for their swift and effective response.
