The University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg kicked off its Welcome Week by welcoming first-year students to campus on Thursday, August 21. Welcome Week is an important part of student success, helping new students to acclimate to campus through a combination of practical and fun activities to encourage friendship and networking.
On Sunday, August 24, Pitt-Greensburg’s traditional Big Bang event will bring together new and returning students in a beach-party-themed event featuring food, games, music, and giveaways. The evening will culminate with a fireworks display at dusk behind Millstein Library. The campus is not open to the public for this event, but university officials are notifying the public so that people and pets who may be sensitive to loud noises can prepare.
