Jordan Boothe, PhD

  • Assistant Professor of Chemistry

Jordan Boothe, PhD, received his doctorate in Organic Chemistry and his master’s in Post-Secondary Science Education from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He teaches Chemistry for the Health Professions, Biochemistry, Scientific Writing, Capstone, as well as other assorted chemistry and biology courses. He maintains active involvement and membership in a number of on- and off-campus organizations geared toward student development in the sciences, including the American Chemical Society’s divisions of chemical education and organic chemistry and the Spectroscopy Society of Pittsburgh. His research interests are multifaceted, and include: the synthesis of organic small molecule libraries, chemical biology & biochemistry assays of microalgae, and the analysis of student learning gains in the natural sciences.
