Pitt-Greensburg Esports

Pitt-Greensburg Esports logo

Pitt-Greensburg Esports is giving an opportunity to a new generation of athletes and competitors. Being the first varsity Esports team in Westmoreland County, PA and in the Pitt system, Pitt-Greensburg looks to draw in the best players possible to compete in a variety of game titles while also prioritizing a quality liberal arts education.

"Very soon after arriving at Pitt-Greensburg, it became apparent to me that an Esports program would be an exciting addition to the extracurricular options for our students. After a couple of conversations we decided to move forward right away with the development of an Esports team. I am very excited about the great progress that has been made so far, and look forward to watching our Esports program develop."

– Dr. Robert Gregerson, President of Pitt-Greensburg

Starting in the spring semester in 2020 the Esports program is offering varsity teams for Overwatch, Hearthstone, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, while also continuing to expand by adding more competitive titles. The program is looking to add varsity teams in: League of Legends, Rocket League, and Fortnite to being in the fall of the 2020-21 season and having us grow to 30+ players.
