Transportation Information

Local Bus Service

Westmoreland County Transit offers a bus service from the Pitt-Greensburg campus Monday through Friday. Students can ride the bus from campus to local shopping attractions for free. Pitt-Greensburg students can pick up free tickets for the bus at the Chambers Hall information desk.

Westmoreland Transit provides service to nearby shopping destinations such as the Westmoreland Mall, Walmart, and other local stops. Buses also connect to downtown Pittsburgh and the University of Pittsburgh's Oakland campus. The Westmoreland Transit bus schedule is located here.

Because schedules can change, the best way to plan your trips is by using the public transit option in Google Maps. Just enter your destination and Google Maps will show you current bus routes, times, and transfer details.

Tips: When transferring buses, ask the driver for a transfer pass so you don't pay twice. Keep in mind that Google Maps may list other bus systems on your route, but the free tickets provided to students are only for Westmoreland Transit buses.

Taxi Service

The Veteran’s Cab taxi service is available Monday through Saturday from 6 am - 9 pm. Phone: 724-537-7708. CCC&P Transportation taxi service is also available. Phone: 724 925-1160.

Pittsburgh International Airport is the major air transportation service provider in the area, with daily flights to over 60 destinations. Also, the Arnold Palmer Regional Airport is located just 10 miles from the campus and offers flights to various destinations. Students must arrange their own transportation to the airport.
