On October 10, 1962, University of Pittsburgh Chancellor Edward H. Litchfield announced Pitt's intention to open a regional campus in Greensburg, PA.

Since then, the successes of over 10,000 students have written our story; Founders' Day at Pitt-Greensburg is a time to celebrate that whether you were a student in the 1960s or in the 2010s, we are one community.

FAQ

How can I enter a duck in the dash?
The entry period for on-campus individuals to pick up and decorate their own duck has ended - but, you can still have a duck in the dash, even if you're not on campus! Complete the information in the form below, and we will assign you a numbered duck that will be entered in the dash! Please do not complete this form if you have already returned a duck to Student Services.

When does the dash take place?
This year to reduce in-person gatherings, the dash will be streamed right on this page on Thursday, October 8 at 12pm - at which point we will also crown the winner!

Do I have to follow rules for my duck design or duck name?
1. No hate speech/imagery or cursing involved in the duck's design or name. 2. No inclusion of duck performance-enhancing additions such as motors or sails. 3. No inclusion of substances or materials that could damage the ecosystem of Slate Run Creek.

Can I have more than one duck in the race?
No!

What happens to the ducks afterwards?
Our dedicated team of helpers will ensure that all ducks/duck-orations are collected from Slate Run Creek following the race. You will be able to keep your duck if you wish.
