For more than 50 years, the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg has been providing support and services to the greater Greensburg Community.

From community service projects done by our students, faculty, and staff to lectures and performances that are open to the public, Pitt-Greensburg is a regional resource.

Our newest offerings include Military & Veterans Services, the Center for the Digital Text, and Center for Applied Research (CFAR). Watch this page for newly developed programs.

Center for Applied Research

Comprised of students, faculty, and staff, the Center for Applied Research (CFAR) at Pitt-Greensburg performs the research & evaluation of data essential toward determining solutions for community organizations.

Center for the Digital Text

The Center for the Digital Text at Pitt-Greensburg promotes an intensive data mining/digital media development collaboration between faculty & students in outreach toward local & global communities.

The Conference Place

The Conference Place provides the appropriate space and setting for a variety of groups including: strategic management seminars, professional development workshops, youth camps, athletic tournaments, recognition banquets, and weekend retreats.

Summer Science and Math Experience

Developed collaboratively by science and education faculty members, the Summer Science and Math Experience (SSME) provides middle school students  going into 9th grade with an opportunity to experience the wonder and excitement of the science and math fields.

Weddings at Campana Chapel

Built in memory of Mary Lou Campana, this beautiful facility accommodates 172 guests and is open to the community. Please contact The Conference Place for availability and any questions.

Westmoreland Reads

The Westmoreland Reads program facilitates formal and informal reading groups throughout Westmoreland County. Participating groups will adopt a common book which they will then discuss over the course of the year.
