Greensburg Photo ID

Your ID Card (Pitt ID) is the tool that every student, faculty and staff member needs to access essential campus services. The magnetic strip and chip in your ID Card are programmed to give access to your residence hall and meal plan.  Your ID Card is also required to use the library, fitness center and on-campus printing stations.

Incoming freshmen and transfer students will be sent an individualized email with instructions on how to upload their photo.

New faculty and/or staff will need to contact our office for instructions on uploading/submitting their photo either by email at UPGSS@pitt.edu or by calling 724-836-7869 or 724-836-9917.

Returning students or current faculty and/or staff who have lost their card will need to notify our office by email UPGSS@pitt.edu or by calling us at 724-836-7869 or 724-836-9917 so that we can print a replacement card.  We will use the photo that is currently in the system, so you won’t have to submit a new photo.  The cost for a replacement card is $30 and can be paid by cash or money order in the Student Life Office (219 Chambers Hall) or by credit/debit card in the business office (ML 134).

You will be sent instructions on how to retrieve your new ID Card once we have processed your photo. Even if you plan to pick up your card in the office, you are still required to pre-submit a photo.

ID Center Hours

All photos must be pre-submitted.

If you have not already received an email with instructions on how to upload your photo, please contact us at 724-836-7869 or 724-836-9917 or UPGSS@pitt.edu.  Normal business hours during the academic year for the ID Center are 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Chosen Name

The University of Pittsburgh recognizes the need or preference for students to refer to themselves by a chosen name. Students can add a chosen name other than their legal given first and/or middle name for use on campus. Please contact the Registrar’s Office if you have questions regarding using a chosen name on campus.
